As a former foster parent, Erica founded Wild Roots Therapy, INC after discovering the lack of understanding and support for parents parenting children who’ve experienced early trauma.  Erica’s clinical expertise is in the evaluation and treatment of children from babies to teens with various developmental disabilities including autism, sensory processing disorders, and neurodevelopmental differences from childhood trauma. As of 2023 Erica has been an occupational therapist for 20 years!

Erica has completed the NMT (Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics) Training Certification through the Phase 1 Level and is one of a handful of OTs in the US who has completed this certification program.  Additionally, Erica has advanced training in Sensory Processing Disorder from the STAR Center in Denver, CO and is trained in the Integrated Listening Systems Safe & Sound Protocol.

Erica started her career working in rural schools and has served Montana districts from Colstrip to Broadview, Red Lodge, and all the miles in between. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Wyoming in Laramie and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR.

Most recently, Erica has been providing presentations to healthcare providers and organizations nationwide.  When not at work, she is a busy mom & wife, yoga, gardening, camping, and travel enthusiast.
